Frequently asked questions
- Can the hidden text be recovered?
- No. Redacted pages are rasterized so the underlying text and images are destroyed — unlike a plain black rectangle that still has selectable text beneath it.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Redaction runs entirely in your browser; your document never leaves your device.
- Will unredacted pages lose quality?
- Only pages you mark are rebuilt as images. Pages without redactions are left untouched.
