FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What encryption is used?
- The PDF is encrypted with AES-256, the standard supported by all modern PDF readers.
- What happens to my file?
- It is processed in ephemeral storage and deleted automatically right after the protected copy is returned. We never keep it.
- Why does this tool need a server?
- Strong PDF encryption is not something a browser can do reliably, so this step runs on our server engine, then the file is wiped.
