OCR a scanned PDF

Turn a scanned, image-only PDF into one you can search and copy text from. The OCR engine adds an invisible text layer without changing how the page looks.

Your file is sent over HTTPS, processed on our server, and permanently deleted right after — we never keep a copy.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will the page still look the same?
Yes. OCR adds an invisible text layer behind the image, so the visual page is unchanged — only now it’s searchable.
What languages are supported?
English is recognized by default; the underlying Tesseract engine supports many languages.
Are pages that already have text re-processed?
No — pages that already contain text are left as they are, so existing text isn’t degraded.
